Jewelry studio - Denver, Colorado
In April 2016, I met Ryan in his 6,000 Square Foot factory, located in the Rino arts district in Denver, CO.
I found his company through Maker's Row, a great online resource for American Made.
Respecting their employees, their customers and the environment
As a company, their values resonated with ours, on a environmental and community aspect, which was the first step in deciding we wanted to explore working together. When asked about their employee benefits, Ryan told me:
"All our staff are paid fairly on average about 40% above the market wage for manufacturing and also we (...) share 16% of our profits as bonuses to our staff. Health care is matched and offered to all our staff."
In terms of the environment, they run their shop on wind power, they plant trees to offset their carbon footprint, they recycle - their metal waste as well as traditional waste -, and try to run a conscious business.
Quality control and customer satisfaction
Ryan and his team are proud to produce work of an outstanding quality. Whether casting, soldering or forming metal, their work is outstanding.
They were great partners in helping me bring the jewelry from prototype to reality. They created jigs and samples to ensure the pieces would be up to our standards.
The new collection we developed with them is called LINE. The continuity between the sterling silver chain and the bent brass pendant was made possible by a very precise assembly process, designed in collaboration with Ryan and his team.
